Adventures in the savannah

(In the voice of David Attenborough) after seeing 10 lions, god knows how many giraffes and many elephants we can conclude that life in the bush is never dull. We approached many zebra crossings (a common joke made by Ian Tuer) and actually witnessed a lioness devour the innards of a dead giraffe! Our open top jeeps gave us an excellent opportunity to view the entire landscape and get many amazing shots of the wildlife. We also saw crocs and hippos who basked in the African sun and posed for our cameras, so much better than the zoo! We had four drives in total, two in the morning and two at night, that way we saw sunrise and sunset which was truly beautiful. Our early morning drives began at 6.00 am and they were truly freezing, layers and hoodies were a common sight. All in all we have had a blast with the African wildlife, we shared breakfast, lunch and dinner with a herd of buffalo next to the restaurant, I think its safe too say we will never forget it.

Written by Angharad Jenkins who was assissted by Emily Bardgett, many quotes were also taken from John Sander.
Throughout our group many relationships have been made and destroyed!
